Job Fair Quick Tips

Dress for the type of job you are applying for, however professional dress is always  correct, and many employers claim that appearance affects their choice of job applicants.

 

Do your research -  companies  are impressed if you know facts about them. 

 

Prepare a short list of general questions about your qualifications and education.

 

Your introduction should be brief  enough to hold the interest of the company representative, but  don't overdo it. 

 

At a job fair the time is usually limited, so  keep your questions and answers short and to the point.

 

Have plenty of resumes to hand out to potential employers, and make sure you get their business cards or brochures for future reference.

 

Let employers know you are a cut-above the crowd.  Follow up with a thank you letter or email after the career fair to let them know a little more about you.
